Privacy Policy

• Account information: email address, display name, password hash, language preference, email-verification status, and legal-consent records.
• Optional profile information: country, diaspora generation, and profile image if you choose to provide them.
• Learning activity: quiz questions presented, answers, scores, progress, achievements, streaks, and quiz history.
• Membership information: Stripe customer, Checkout, and subscription identifiers; membership status; plan and billing-period information; and consent records. Stripe receives and processes your payment-card details. EriQuiz does not store complete card numbers.
• Technical and security information: IP-derived request information, browser or device information, authentication cookies, rate-limit records, security events, and server logs.
• Communications: messages you send to support. Sofia chat does not currently accept or transmit user messages.

• Provide accounts, quizzes, saved progress, results, and memberships.
• Authenticate users, verify email addresses, prevent fraud, and protect the service.
• Process subscriptions, cancellations, refunds, and customer support.
• Maintain and improve quiz quality, reliability, and accessibility.
• Comply with legal, tax, accounting, and payment obligations.

EriQuiz uses essential cookies and browser storage for authentication, security, language preference, anonymous-quiz continuity, and signup flow continuity. These technologies are necessary to provide requested features. We do not currently use advertising cookies or sell personal information for targeted advertising. If we introduce nonessential analytics or advertising technologies, we will update this Policy and provide legally required choices.

Because we do not currently track users across unaffiliated services for behavioral advertising, EriQuiz does not respond differently to legacy browser “Do Not Track” signals. We will honor legally required browser-based opt-out preference signals if our practices become subject to them.

We disclose information only as reasonably necessary to operate EriQuiz, including to:

• Stripe for payment processing, subscriptions, fraud prevention, and billing management.
• Vercel for application hosting and delivery.
• MongoDB Atlas for database hosting.
• Google Cloud Storage for public quiz and profile images.
• Upstash or another configured Redis provider for rate limiting and security controls.
• Our configured email provider for verification, password-reset, and service messages.
• Professional advisers, authorities, or other parties when required by law or necessary to protect rights, safety, and service integrity.

We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

We retain account and learning information while your account is active and as reasonably needed to provide the service. Payment, consent, fraud-prevention, tax, and legal records may be retained longer when required or reasonably necessary. We delete or de-identify information when it is no longer needed, subject to backups and legal obligations.

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, but no online system can guarantee absolute security. Please use a unique password and contact us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.

You may update available profile information in your account. To request access, correction, deletion, or a copy of your information, email support@gubuta.com. We may need to verify your identity. We will not discriminate against you for exercising applicable privacy rights.

EriQuiz accounts are not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a child under 13. If you believe a child under 13 created an account or provided personal information, contact us so we can investigate and delete it.

EriQuiz is operated from the United States, and information may be processed and stored in the United States and other locations where our service providers operate. Do not use EriQuiz where doing so would violate applicable law.

We may update this Policy as our service or legal obligations change. We will post the revised Policy with a new effective date and provide additional notice when legally required. Questions may be sent to support@gubuta.com.
